Welcome to the Callaghan Fine Paintings & Contemporary Bronze sculpture website.
With a focus on European 19th, 20th and 21st century fine paintings we have punctuated our selection with bright, hot landscapes, cool, fresh seascapes, and beautifully detailed still lives. Some artists you will know, and some you will learn to love. With detail as fine as spun silk, thick, rich impasto, together with broad, glossy, impressionist strokes we hope to capture your imagination within the pages of this website.
Our collection of contemporary British original bronze sculptures ranges from dancers in quiet repose by the brilliant late Benson Landes, elegant female forms inspired by both the art deco and classical era by the hugely talented Carl Payne, and more recently the launch of a collection of wild birds and animals by the renowned artist Richard Smith.
Callaghans are proud to present a sumptuous collection of fine furniture by the notable and innovative designer Carlo Bugatti, whose work continues to delight and fascinate us in equal measure. In addition to this we also have a selection of Art Deco French furniture and select pieces of fine, period, British furniture.
Whether we have met you at our gallery in Shrewsbury, at one of our many, many exhibitions in London, Birmingham or in a smaller provincial location; or even across the pond in Florida, Chicago or New York - welcome. If we are old friends then welcome back or if this is our first encounter, we are sure that our collection will enchant and entice in equal measure.
