Charles Chaplin Biography

Charles Chaplin is an artist most known for his portraits of young women. Before establishing himself as a Portraitist he also painted landscapes. In 1860’s Chaplin taught women artists at his studio, amongst those he taught was Impressionist painter Mary Cassatt.

Charles Chaplin exhibited at The Salon and was awarded many prizes during his career, including that of Legion d’Honneur in 1879.
