George Elgar Hicks Biography
Hicks was a London painter of genre, portraits (in particular society portraits) and of Victorian life. His entry to the Royal Academy came in 1844 & he exhibited there between 1848 and 1905.In addition, British Institution, Suffolk Street and Grosvenor Gallery exhibited his works.
