James Webb

James Webb Biography

A painter of marine and landscape subjects.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1853 and 1888 as well as at the British Institute , Suffolk Street and the Grosvenor Gallery. Webb , clearly influenced by Turner, painted coastal scenes throughout England & Wales , Holland & France.

His works can be found in the Tate, Victoria & Albert & many other provincial galleries
