William Thornley Biography

Based in London, William Thornley first exhibited works at the Royal Academy in 1859 through to 1898. In addition his works were to be found at the British Institution from1861 to 1867. Thornley's works always show a masterful depiction of the mood associated with sea and estuary activities and that very vital ingredient, the weather.
