Lioness

Lioness is a fabulous piece where Waddams’ ability to portray different textures is extremely evident. Through detailed brushwork, Waddams is able to beautifully capture the lioness’ soft fur in the detailing around her ears and chin, paying close attention to the individual hairs and whiskers around her face. This soft texture that is created, contrasts perfectly with the background as the lioness stalks through the coarse, dry grassland.
