Rabbit Study

Waddams’ use of light and dark is exceptional in this piece of a rabbit with the sun on its back. The dark blue background contrasts perfectly with the light brown and grey colouring of the rabbit, while the splashes of bright green colouring in the foreground really attracts the eye to the subject matter. Again, Waddams displays a fantastic eye for detail, with delicate brush strokes picking out the individual whiskers on the rabbit’s face to the extremely fine detailing on the ears where the veins are visibly reflected in the light.
