Canto was born in Alcante, Spain where she still resides. Her artistic studies began at the Fine Arts School in Alcoy and later she studied in Valencia at the San Carlos Fine Arts University. She is an accomplished painter in oils and in spite of her youth she has achieved merited success. Her favoured subjects are landscapes. Canto's goal is to be set apart from the traditional artists and their subjects of her region, by always portraying her homeland from her personal view. She paints as she feels, and she does not dwell upon the perfection of each stroke which is what makes her work so magical.
Canto’s art is heavily influenced by her Spanish heritage and the cultural experiences of her upbringing, which manifest in her choice of colours and symbols. Forgetting the Romanticism often seen, she looks for the nature and realism in her subjects. Her landscapes often present a visual picture of large open fields full of brightly coloured flowers in the foreground and sometimes serene Spanish villages in the far distance. Her work can be found in private and public collections in Spain and internationally. As her career progresses, Canto continues to expand her creative boundaries, gaining recognition internationally. Her art appeals to those drawn to work that is not only visually captivating but also rich with narrative and emotional depth.
