My work is about seduction, to a place where the sacred meets the profane, where pain turns to redemption. Where the lofty ideals of classicism bend towards tenderness for the broken and the lowly, knowing in every heart there is a ray of heaven. I have the highest esteem for Phidias, someone whom no artist will ever surpass, but I cannot for additional reasons reproduce the Hellenic ideal. Neither can I squeeze life into clay with Rodin’s hands or make marble swell with the Titans of Michelangelo's vision. What I can do, is love and remember all things that touch my life with the same truth that runs through our ancestors, our children and through all of us.
