London genre and landscape painter. He was born in Barbados and came to London in 1854. He studied first at Leigh’s Academy. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1860. His genre scenes are usually cottage interiors with figures. Works by King are in the V.A.M. and Leeds City Gallery.
